What is the V-Care Stacking Chair?
There are stacking chairs, and then there are premium stacking chairs.
The V-Care falls firmly into the latter category, being a chair that is the result of considerable thought, consideration, research and engineering.
This is a chair that is designed to tick all the boxes; it’s elegant and stylish, but also eminently practical featuring a number of unique hygiene-led features.

Who created the V-Care Stacking Chair?
So which company envisioned and created the V-Care Stacking Chair?
The answer is Kusch+Co, a German contract furniture company which has spent over 80 years ‘shaping the way we sit’.
Founded in 1939 by one Ernst Kusch, Kusch+Co has developed an enviable reputation for designing furniture that is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.
In recent years, Kusch+Co has continued to develop, firmly establishing itself as a midweight player in the world of contract furniture.
In order to grow further, Kusch+Co took the decision in 2019 to become part of Nowy Styl – one of the largest contract furniture companies in Europe. What are the key features and benefits of the V-Care Stacking Chair?
So far, you’ve gathered that the V-Care is a highly praised piece of furniture. In this next section, we’ll look at why that’s the case, examining the individual features and benefits that make the V-Care such a popular and esteemed seating solution.
Comfort
With a plastic shell forming the seat and back of the chair, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the V-Care doesn’t offer a comfortable sitting experience. The reality is quite the opposite.
The V-Care has been specifically designed to foster the user’s comfort. For example, the chair’s shell is manufactured from polyurethane, which absorbs body temperature, thus enhancing comfort.
Furthermore, the V-Care’s shell is slightly curved to allow the user to somewhat ‘sink in’ to the chair. That feature is further enhanced by the shell’s surface which presents a ‘haptically-soft’ touch.
Accessibility
If you want to make your building accessible and welcoming to the widest possible range of people, then the V-Care is the ideal choice.
Why? Because the V-Care has been designed with people of limited mobility in mind.
The V-Care is available as either a standard four-leg version or a sled-base version. The four-leg model can be specified in three different seat heights; 460, 510, or 560 mm.
The V-Care also features reinforced armrests. This not only provides further support for people getting in and out of the chair, but also allows for the V-Care to be moved and lifted even whilst somebody is sitting in it. (Note – the V-Care is also available without armrests).
The backrest of the V-Care is also inclined in such a way as to make it easier for users to get up out of the chair.
Finally, the V-Care has a load-bearing capacity of 150 kg, meaning it’ll withstand use by a broad range of the population.
Hygienic
Arguably the biggest selling point of the V-Care is its hygienic features.
Aside from its simple design, which makes regular cleaning easy and prevents the build up of detritus and dirt, the V-Care is imbued with a unique antibacterial surface.
In particular, it’s the shell of the V-Care which possesses a novel PU surface which integrates silver ions. As these silver ions are toxic to several microorganisms they act as a type of ‘permanent barrier’ against the growth of bacteria on the chair.
This surface is also safe to clean and disinfect and will not be damaged or discoloured by being subjected to a regular and intensive cleaning regime. In fact, the V-Care’s shell is resistant to all types of colourless disinfectants – including alcohol-based, aldehyde-based, aldehyde-free, peracetic acid-based, hydrogen peroxide-based, QAV-based, and oxygen-scavenging disinfectants.
Finishes
As you would expect from a premium-led stacking chair, the V-Care is available in a range of quality, subtle colours and finishes.
Take the shell for example. Being aimed at high-end settings, the V-Care’s shell is available in Black Grey, Platinum Grey, Silk, or Purple Red. All colours that will gently complement a wide range of interior decors.
When it comes to the V-Care’s frame, this is available in a series of metallic and solid colours, including; Chrome, Jet Black (Pearl Black), Jet Black, Iron Mica, White Aluminium, and Silk.
Should you choose the V-Care with armrests, these can be selected in a number of colours; Black, Black Grey, Platinum Grey, Silk, or Purple Red.
Design
This is a rather subjective point, but one that we feel merits inclusion as a ‘benefit’.
The V-Care simply looks wonderful!
Whilst on an initial glance it appears to be an unremarkable, run-of-the-mill chair, closer and longer inspection reveals that this is a chair which has had some serious thought poured into it.
We know it’s become a bit of a hackneyed phrase, but if Apple made stacking chairs – they would probably resemble the V-Care.
It’s packed full of very subtle, minor features – which, when combined – do the seemingly impossible – they add up to reconcile two immutable characteristics; design and comfort.
In other words, this is a very stylish chair – but it’s also a chair that’s accessible and comfortable.
