Rosehill History

1980s

Established in 1982, Rosehill started as a supplier of musical instruments to the Salvation Army. When one of the customers came to us about their seating which was looking a bit tired we grasped the opportunity to branch out into the contract furniture market. One order for new chairs led to another.  As word of mouth on the products and service we offered spread Rosehill began specialising in seating for churches and community buildings. At the fore of our business was to offer good value for money and high quality practical chairs to provide years and years of use. To this day, that remains our motto…

1990s

After 8 years of success, Rosehill moved from the South East up to Macclesfield to establish a new larger offices with a showroom where customers could come and try before they purchased. Now well know for our furniture in places or worship the company added Rosehill Education Supplies.  This new division looked after our customers in the school and higher education markets. With a fantastic range of contacts within the industry the additional products complimented our existing ranges and allowed us to offer a wider choice to our expanding customer base.

Highlights over this decade include supplying 3,000 of our R53 Millennium chairs to Kensington Temple which remains one of our biggest contracts to date, which was delivered on time to a very happy customer.  We also supplied 1,000 chairs (along with banqueting tables) to the large Scarborough Spa Conference Centre which was another successful project.

2000s

As the business continued to expand it was time for another move, this time to Wilmslow.  We further diversified our product ranges, and with it the customers we serve. This included targeted growth in the healthcare and hospitality sectors, while continuing our attention with our core church, crematorium and education base. Rosehill has amassed extensive knowledge with the diversity of our customers which is what helps us stand out from other companies and gives us the experience to best meet your needs.

Highlights over this decade include supplying St Asaph Cathedral and an increase in our international customer base including supplying 850 chairs to St George’s Cathedral in Sierra Leone, as well as churches in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Now

Over the last couple of years we have had a few changes while we separated from the group to once again be a standalone company.  This was to give us more stability while we strive to improve our internal processes and also in the current age improve our website to make the site easy for our customers to navigate to see product information and prices and also shop securely online.

We are constantly building more relationships across the industry, to expand the selection of furniture we can offer and provide more choice, always as competitively as possible.
