Rosehill History


Established in 1982, Mark Austin was the original founder of Rosehill. Mark was an instrument supplier to Salvation Army bands, and he noticed that some of the chairs were looking a bit tired. Grasping the opportunity to supply new chairs, he decided to approach both his good friend and chair supplier Paul Gande to help him.

The chairs Paul supplied were a huge success, and with a little luck and word of mouth the demand for Salvation Army chairs increased, and Rosehill Contract Furnishings were formed.

From then on, Rosehill began specialising in seating for churches and community buildings, offering good value for money and high quality practical chairs with years and years of use. To this day, this remains our motto…


After 8 years of success, Mark later approached Paul in the early 90’s.  Austin offered Paul the opportunity to purchase the business. Paul and his business partner at the time Mark McKenzie, accepted, and had some great ideas for growth, which saw the business move from Beaconsfield to Macclesfield in 1991.


As the business continued to expand, in 2001 the office relocated to a more central location in Wilmslow, and with every success Rosehill became a well-known loose furniture supplier to Places of Worship, Education, Hospitality and Health Care sectors.


Over the last year we have had a few changes while we separated from the group to once again be a standalone company as Rosehill Furnishings Ltd.  This has given us more stability while we strive to improve our internal processes and also in the current age improve our website to make the site easy for our customers to navigate to see product information and prices and also shop securely online.
