The Polyside P5 chair was designed for Hille by Robin Day and was a worldwide success from the moment it was launched in 1963 selling hundreds of thousands of units over the years. The Poly side chair has now been re-launched featuring the original P5 frame and is available in a range of exciting colours. The Poly side chair can be purchased with a range of powder-coated frame finishes, or you can upgrade to a chrome-plated finish, if preferred.
The Armchair was again designed by Robin Day for Hille, and launched in 1967 following the dramatic success of the Poly Side chair. Its rolled edges ensure that the fixings are kept out of sight from the front view and the generously wide seat with built in arms makes it incredibly comfortable. The Armchair as with the majority of Day’s Polypropylene shell designs featured the same fixing points enabling the shell to be fitted to the numerous bases he designed as well as beam and swivel chair options. The most popular version was on the original A frame, as pictured.
