Thanks for visiting us at CRE North

We just wanted to share quick post to thank everyone for coming to visit Rosehill at CRE North last week. It was the first time that CRE has returned to the North since 2014 so it was highly anticipated by all.

The exhibition was over 2 days on the 13th and 14th March, and are pleased to say that we had a busy couple of days. We met with Current customers, and new, including Church leaders and decision makers from all over the North of England. It was a great opportunity for us to network and show of some of our best-selling Church furniture.

We snapped a few images from the show for anyone who didn’t attend. As you can see by the amount of furniture we exhibited, it’s a great opportunity to sample some furniture before taking the plunge and purchasing. We took with us a large selection of metal and wooden chairs, stacking chairs, trolleys and dolleys, tables and even lecterns.

CRE is returning to Manchester for the first time since 2014, and Rosehill will be exhibiting!

The exhibition will run for two days 13-14th March at Event City in Manchester, which is situated just minutes away from the Trafford Centre making it easily accessible with excellent transport links, so we’re super excited to be exhibiting this year!

Previous CRE shows in Manchester have attracted more than 2,500 visitors so we’re hopeful that this year has been a good one, after it’s eagerly anticipated return.

Best-Selling Crematorium Furniture

Starting with seating we have two very popular options including the Churchill Deluxe and the Faith Chair.

The Churchill Deluxe pictured below has a large 11″ back pad for increased support and comfort. It’s traditional style makes it a popular choice for crem’s and places of worship alike, plus the underails are included as standard and are ideal for storage.

 

The Faith Chair is similar in style, but was designed to give customers extra flexibility of having individual chairs that could also be linked in a row to create the look of traditional pew seating. It’s a practical model and also has options to stack, or include underails or arms. It’s an ideal choice for your crematorium seating.

Aside from seating, Rosehill also supply additional furniture items for your crematorium, such as modesty panels and catafalques.

The Rosehill modesty panels are made to order, and can be manufactured to your exact requirement ensuring that the size is suitable for the space. Similarly Rosehill Catafalque’s are also bespoke and made to order for your crematorium. Our Modesty panels have a stable and strong base, and are manufacturer with a solid beech frame and veneered panels, however customers can choose to upgrade to oak if preferred. In the image above the front of the panel is fully upholstered but alternatively shelfs can be added on which makes for convenient storage solutions.

We also supply a range of different lecterns including box lecterns or free standing, both of which are hardwearing, high quality and traditional. Healthcare Estates Follow up

As you’re probably aware a few weeks ago we attended and exhibited at Healthcare Estates. We just wanted to follow up with a few photos from the event, which we found to be a huge success.

Healthcare Estates is a unique event, and is the only national conference and exhibition for healthcare estates and facilities. It gives attendees the opportunity to source the latest information on the latest products and services, as well as the opportunity to meet existing and new suppliers. There are over 200 exhibitors at the two day event and Rosehill are pleased to be one of them.

This will be our first time exhibiting and we’re really excited to get involved, share our knowledge and showcase our amazing high quality products. Last week we blogged on our best school chairs for September delivery but we didn’t mention the great selection of school tables we also stock and manufacture.

New Products Online This Month

This month we’ve added two new luxury seating options online both ideal for lounges and receptions. The Magda and the Megan chairs are both stylish multi-purpose choices.

Both ranges are Italian made and boast luxury and high quality, yet also offer versatility. These two particular collections have been designed with the demand of the A&D world in mind, and offer the same design of product but in a different type of seating. This allows different types of seating to be slotted in to the same environment whilst still offering style and continuity. Rosehill customers can choose from a wide selection of bases to suit your requirements. Management In Practice Recap

A few weeks ago we attended Management in Practice (it was nice to see those of you that attended).

 

If you don’t know what Management in Practice is an event for all practice managers, GP’s, and all those involved in primary care business management. We had a busy day at the Manchester event, meeting with existing, new and potential customers, and showcasing some of our best furniture items for GP surgery’s and practices.

We found that our beam seating stole the show completely, as was our most popular range of products. Although we manufacture a range of different beam seating options, we found that we had most interest in the Ikon and Mia beams. Both of these come with either plain poly seats and backs, or upholstered with the Cadet Vinyl – the vinyl particularly was a huge selling point.

We’re attending Management in Practice

We’re please to announce that this year we’ll be attending more exhibitions and events so that we can start to meet more of our current and potential customers. We’re kicking off 2018 with Management in Practice on the 14th June 2018.

So what is Management in Practice and who is it for?

Catafalque

Did you know that we make Catafalques?

Rosehill has been supplying a wide rage of quality contract furniture for over 3 decades. For crematoria this includes seating, lecterns, modesty panels, Catafalques and curtains on electric tracks.

Since the higher weight limits (usually around 300kg weight bearing capacity) came in to effect the company has found a much higher demand for Catafalques. These are always bespoke one-off items, as each customer tends to have slightly different needs and requirements. These include different sizes, either traditional rollers on the top section or ball-bearings if the crematorium has the need to slide a coffin in more than one direction. As they are made to order while beech or oak remain the most popular finishes, Rosehill can use a huge variety of materials and finishes to fit in with your building.

The images below are from a recent job we did for Perth and Kinross Council.  After discussing their requirements, they sent us a sketch and design idea.  After checking the specification and materials we produced the below bespoke Catafalque to fit in with the wood colour and decor of their chapel. We also supplied a number of our popular Churchill Deluxe chairs.

Come & Try our Isabel Chairs

We were pleased get some great feedback from customers at CRE last October on the new Isabel Stacking chairs.  These are one of our high quality designer Italian models.  You can order the chairs in either the fully upholstered version, or the wooden laminate.  The latter is perfect for churches where upholstery isn’t in keeping or practical for the interior of the building.  We’ve recently had some new pictures taken by a local photographer which you can view on the product page here or below.  You can see the shaping on the laminate shells which are what make this chair superior to other similar models.  The shaping along with the back height make this one of the most comfortable plyform chairs you will find.

5 things to consider when designing your new waiting area

The beginning of the year seems to be a busy time with furniture orders for government organisations and other waiting rooms. If you’re thinking of updating your waiting area you may want to read our blog first. We’ve got a few top tips to give your space the ultimate refresh whilst keeping your customers, colleagues and guests in mind.

  1. Make people feel comfortable

This must be the most obvious point, but comfort really is key. Depending on the type of business you have, your guests could spend some time waiting, so you want to make sure that they’re comfortable for the duration – it’s the least you could do. Make sure that you have enough room and enough seats to sit several people at once. We’d also recommend opting for durable chairs which are suitable for long term use, but still offer comfort with a moulded seat pad.

  1. Provide people with enough space

Lack of space or feeling claustrophobic can really make you feel uncomfortable. Make sure you don’t overcrowd the room with furniture, and you choose furniture which is suitable for the shape and size of room.  For example, if your waiting room is quite small and square, opt for a small framed chair rather than a bulkier option. We’d recommend Dartmouth stacking chair or the Devon side chair. They’re modern, comfortable and don’t overcrowd a room.

  1. Access to the receptionist

The receptionist is the first person guests interact with when entering your office or waiting room. To ensure guests feel at ease, make sure that the receptionist is easily accessible in case of any problems or delays. For example, don’t hide the reception desk around a corner, instead make it easy for people to find. We understand that the reception can’t always be manned, but consider having a phone line which can easily be picked up by a member of staff.

  1. Provide WiFi

Everywhere you go nowadays you can gain access to WiFi. By providing a guest access to WiFi, people can keep themselves occupied whilst they wait. We’d recommend using a separate secure network with a guest password. Simply put up a sign in your waiting area with the credentials. For extra security you could change the guest password on a weekly basis.

  1. Keep your guests refreshed

Why not provide a self-service coffee machine or refreshments counter. You can keep this neatly tucked away in the corner of your waiting area which will keep the place looking tidy but will also keep guests happy. Remember to have a rota of staff to check the area and keep it stocked up and clean. If you need help with finding counters or extra storage units, Rosehill can help.
