Both ranges are Italian made and boast luxury and high quality, yet also offer versatility. These two particular collections have been designed with the demand of the A&D world in mind, and offer the same design of product but in a different type of seating. This allows different types of seating to be slotted in to the same environment whilst still offering style and continuity. Rosehill customers can choose from a wide selection of bases to suit your requirements. Alternatively you can view a selection from the Magda Range online here.

Although the Megan Armchair doesn’t offer as much versatility as the Magda range, it’s an ideal addition to your lounge or dining area offering both style and high quality. The Italian factory where it’s manufactured have over 50 years experience perfecting their craftsmanship, so we’re pleased to add this to our portfolio at Rosehill. The high back makes it the ideal product for relaxation areas, waiting areas and even retirement homes. The shape offers harmony and comfort, and combines the union of design with functionality.

Management In Practice Recap

A few weeks ago we attended Management in Practice (it was nice to see those of you that attended).

If you don’t know what Management in Practice is an event for all practice managers, GP’s, and all those involved in primary care business management. We had a busy day at the Manchester event, meeting with existing, new and potential customers, and showcasing some of our best furniture items for GP surgery’s and practices.

We found that our beam seating stole the show completely, as was our most popular range of products. Although we manufacture a range of different beam seating options, we found that we had most interest in the Ikon and Mia beams. Both of these come with either plain poly seats and backs, or upholstered with the Cadet Vinyl – the vinyl particularly was a huge selling point.

More about the Ikon Beam Seating…

  • A unique back shape with stylish clean cut lines
  • Strong and durable with a 5 year guarantee
  • Excellent comfort and support
  • Optional sleek arms
  • Ideal for waiting areas

More about the Mia Beam Seating…

  • Versatile and durable choice
  • Option of breathable plastic back or padded seats in a range of fire retardant materials.
  • Optional sleek arms
  • Tubular steel frames for strength and stability

If beam seating isn’t what you’re looking for, then why not opt for a bespoke reception desk? We’re currently adding this service to our portfolio and we can’t wait to get started. Get in touch if you want to find out more, or if you want to enquire about any of our other waiting room furniture or the beams above. Just call 0161 485 1717!

Catafalque

Did you know that we make Catafalques?

Rosehill has been supplying a wide rage of quality contract furniture for over 3 decades. For crematoria this includes seating, lecterns, modesty panels, Catafalques and curtains on electric tracks.

Since the higher weight limits (usually around 300kg weight bearing capacity) came in to effect the company has found a much higher demand for Catafalques. These are always bespoke one-off items, as each customer tends to have slightly different needs and requirements. These include different sizes, either traditional rollers on the top section or ball-bearings if the crematorium has the need to slide a coffin in more than one direction. As they are made to order while beech or oak remain the most popular finishes, Rosehill can use a huge variety of materials and finishes to fit in with your building.

The images below are from a recent job we did for Perth and Kinross Council.  After discussing their requirements, they sent us a sketch and design idea.  After checking the specification and materials we produced the below bespoke Catafalque to fit in with the wood colour and decor of their chapel. We also supplied a number of our popular Churchill Deluxe chairs.

For more information or a quotation, please contact Rosehill on 0161 485 1717 or email sales@rosehill.co.uk

Come & Try our Isabel Chairs

We were pleased get some great feedback from customers at CRE last October on the new Isabel Stacking chairs.  These are one of our high quality designer Italian models.  You can order the chairs in either the fully upholstered version, or the wooden laminate.  The latter is perfect for churches where upholstery isn’t in keeping or practical for the interior of the building.  We’ve recently had some new pictures taken by a local photographer which you can view on the product page here or below.  You can see the shaping on the laminate shells which are what make this chair superior to other similar models.  The shaping along with the back height make this one of the most comfortable plyform chairs you will find.

If you’d like to try the chairs call 0161 485 1717 to make an appointment to view them in our showroom in Cheshire.  Or if you aren’t able to visit please call to enquire about our Sample Service.

Waiting Room

5 things to consider when designing your new waiting area

The beginning of the year seems to be a busy time with furniture orders for government organisations and other waiting rooms. If you’re thinking of updating your waiting area you may want to read our blog first. We’ve got a few top tips to give your space the ultimate refresh whilst keeping your customers, colleagues and guests in mind.

  1. Make people feel comfortable

This must be the most obvious point, but comfort really is key. Depending on the type of business you have, your guests could spend some time waiting, so you want to make sure that they’re comfortable for the duration – it’s the least you could do. Make sure that you have enough room and enough seats to sit several people at once. We’d also recommend opting for durable chairs which are suitable for long term use, but still offer comfort with a moulded seat pad.

Waiting Rooms

  1. Provide people with enough space

Lack of space or feeling claustrophobic can really make you feel uncomfortable. Make sure you don’t overcrowd the room with furniture, and you choose furniture which is suitable for the shape and size of room.  For example, if your waiting room is quite small and square, opt for a small framed chair rather than a bulkier option. We’d recommend Dartmouth stacking chair or the Devon side chair. They’re modern, comfortable and don’t overcrowd a room.

  1. Access to the receptionist

The receptionist is the first person guests interact with when entering your office or waiting room. To ensure guests feel at ease, make sure that the receptionist is easily accessible in case of any problems or delays. For example, don’t hide the reception desk around a corner, instead make it easy for people to find. We understand that the reception can’t always be manned, but consider having a phone line which can easily be picked up by a member of staff.

  1. Provide WiFi

Everywhere you go nowadays you can gain access to WiFi. By providing a guest access to WiFi, people can keep themselves occupied whilst they wait. We’d recommend using a separate secure network with a guest password. Simply put up a sign in your waiting area with the credentials. For extra security you could change the guest password on a weekly basis.

  1. Keep your guests refreshed

Why not provide a self-service coffee machine or refreshments counter. You can keep this neatly tucked away in the corner of your waiting area which will keep the place looking tidy but will also keep guests happy. Remember to have a rota of staff to check the area and keep it stocked up and clean. If you need help with finding counters or extra storage units, Rosehill can help.

new pound coin

Is the new pound coin causing problems for you?

Earlier this year, the Bank of England released a new, 12-sided pound coin in to circulation. Now 6 months down the line, as consumers we’re experiencing problems everywhere – supermarkets, gym changing rooms and even when parking the car. Although there was an initial 6 month period to phase out the old pound coin, it appears that not everywhere is quite up to speed.

Initially, the new pound coin ran into some teething problems, as it emerged that not all ticket vending machines, and supermarket trolleys have yet been adapted to accept it. As well as phone booths, laundrettes and lockers. Now that the old pound coin has officially phased out, most of the above list have been adapted, however we’re still receiving many enquiries In regards to lockers. Whether they’re in the work place, or the gym changing rooms, the new £1 coin will not operate existing £1 coin locks.

Rosehill will soon be offering a supply and fit service to replace your existing coin lock with a new dual-use lock. Alternatively, you can purchase new lockers and choose the most suitable lock type for your establishment. For more information or a quotation, contact our sales team today on 0161 485 1717.

School Furniture

Poor Posture in Schools

Modern school furniture is designed and constructed with posture in mind, and as a child, its especially important to be sitting comfortably in order to prevent back problems.

Some chairs which are designed to help children sit up straight, are not particularly useful when it comes to reading or writing. In fact, often when sat in the upright position, you’re not close enough to the desk in order to read or write comfortably, and instead you bring your head closer to the desk and eventually your neck begins to ache.

Research also shows that the most significant cause of lower back pain in children and adolescents is caused by inappropriate furniture at school and in the home. Children between the ages of 5 and 16 are likely to spend around 15,000 hours sitting down, so you can see why it’s so important. Increased awareness for classroom posture has now led to the new European Standard, Approved Classroom Posture Regulations EN1729, which was created to set out dimensions for school furniture based on size marks and extra heights for improved posture.

Not all furniture ranges comply, however seat shape and design which remove pressure points but offer lumbar support can help to ensure improved classroom posture. Furthermore, height adjustability can offer individuals complete comfort and flexibility in the classroom.

Rosehill stock a wide range of ergonomic classroom furniture which are flexible and comfortable. For more item specifics, browse through our range on our website or contact the sales team who can advise you and offer samples for you to try out.
