The chairs formed part of a major re-ordering and refurbishment project. The nave was built in 1923 and the two wings were built in 1964 and 1981. The reson for the project was to architecturally unify the building, bringing the building and facilities from the dark area it used to be into a light and modern worship space.
The project has been very successful "Absolutely - Incredibly successful" to quote Father Bibby "people are delighted and extremely happy with the new found comfort and the congregation has increased as a direct result."

The chairs supplied by Rosehill for the "church" area of the building had to be modern, attractive and comfortable, yet also offer flexibility of use. The Maxim chairs look "permanent" when placed in the church setting, yet offer us the option of adjusting the seating format to suit different kinds of events, or even stacking them neatly to free the floor-space. The design blends in well with the modern and airy design of the auditorium and building overall.
